Helping youth to build healthy relationships and prevent dating violence.
The Promoting Positive & Healthy Youth Relationships Project (PPHYR) is a youth dating violence prevention initiative that delivers healthy relationships programming to diverse youth in Thunder Bay and District. This community-based, multi-session program helps youth build the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviours needed to develop healthy relationships and prevent dating violence.
The PPHYR is a collaborative partnership between Lakehead University’s Centre for Rural and Northern Health Research and the Thunder Bay District Health Unit, funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada’s Preventing Gender-Based Violence: The Health Perspective investment (2024–2028).
The PPHYR is made possible by community partnerships and professionals like you who work with youth every day.
